This sourdough starter was inherited originally from Italy, is so robust and perfect for beginner sourdough bakers! Nearly impossible to kill, she will give you beautiful bread and other baked goods just days after she's delivered to you!
I always recommend starting with an established sourdough starter, because young starters can mold or die quickly. Bella is your girl! Straight from my kitchen to yours!
With every purchase, you will receive 10g of sleeping sourdough starter-- enough to make 2! So save the other half in case anything happens to her, or gift it to a friend!

Shipping is free in the US on orders $75+. Under $75, we calculate shipping at checkout based on weight and destination.
What happens after I place my order?
You'll get an email confirmation right away. Once your order is packed and a shipping label is made (usually within 1 business day), a second email brings your tracking number.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, AMEX and Discover, plus PayPal, Apple Pay and Shop Pay.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Email us right away at theflakehomestead@gmail.com. We can usually help if your order hasn't been processed for shipping yet.
What's your return policy?
You have 30 days after your order arrives to request a return. Items need to be unused and in their original packaging. Perishables (like food), personal care and beauty products, sale items and gift cards can't be returned. If something arrives damaged or wrong, email us right away. My tracking hasn't updated. What should I do?
Tracking can take up to 24 hours to update after you get the notification. If it hasn't changed after 48 hours, email us and we'll check with the carrier.
